Sagrado Corazón

Hello friends,

Welcome to my first newsletter of 2026! Thank you for subscribing and thank you for your support over the last year.

I had friends and family ask me if I planned on doing another calendar this year. I haven’t done one for 2026, but given how popular the 2025 one was, I’m definitely considering it for 2027 (which sounds like an impossible date to be writing-surely the 90’s weren’t that long ago?!).

This month I have been focusing on developing some background things on my website (print on demand prints are coming soon) and working on statue restorations.

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll have seen some progress of the Sacred Heart statue these last few weeks, and I’m pleased to say the statue is now finished! Have a look at these before and after photos, and if you’d like to see a 360degree video, check out the Restoration section on my website. From being abandoned under a table at a flea market in Spain, to pride of place in the owners home in Wales, this statue has come a long way!

Once the St Vincent statue is completed, I’ll be taking a break from restoration and will be getting back to painting some surrealism for a change. I’m going to be taking some random but connected prompts and seeing where it takes me. Hopefully some exciting, thought-provoking paintings will emerge!

Until next month,

Gemma
