The portrait of Beryl is based on the instantly recognisable power pose of 'Rosie the Riveter' by J Howard Miller. This iconic image has changed from an unpopular wartime poster become a well known symbol of feminism and female empowerment. With its inspiring and encouraging "We Can Do It' slogan, it's easy to see why. Made from the wartime pottery by Woods Ware, with stretch marks that shine like the flames from a phoenix, Beryl is part of a series of 5 paintings that depict a variety of strong, positive women who are made of china, broken and mended with gold in the kintsugi style.
Printed with a matt soft touch finish in the front and glossy raised gold foil details, the back of the card is printed with an explanation of the philosophy behind the Kintsugi practice, to inspire and encourage.
All art cards are packed in board backed envelopes to arrive in perfect condition.
