The Litter Faerie
The first in a series of 5 paintings set in real locations in Bristol, the Urban Faeries series depicts a little bit of magic in the everyday cityscape of urban living.
The Litter Faerie looks up, a ray of hope in the morning sun, our young litter faerie perches on a wheelie bin and gazes towards the sunrise of the coming day. Set in ‘There and Back Again Lane’, she is flanked by graffiti symbolic of optimism, hope, joy and resilience such as the swallow and anchor. Her wings like ragged bin bags, trapped on the spindly branches of a tree, ripped into lace.
The original painting on stretched canvas measures 20" by 30" and has been varnished and professionally framed in a 1.5" black wood frame, ready to hang.
